Design Engineer

Design Engineer- up to £44 per hour Inside IR35 - 12 Months (extensions highly likely) - Broughton - standard 35 hours across 4.5 days (working between 7-7) - Onsite working - One stage interview - Sector: Aerospace and Defence

Yolk Recruitment is searching for a Design Engineer to work with the world's leading Aerospace company that is at the forefront of space exploration and travel.

You will be part of a fast-moving team who delivers high-quality Design Support to meet the needs of the Plant.

Responsibilities

• Understand and synthesise multiple complex activities, simplify and communicate them clearly, on a timely basis, to all stakeholders as needed.
• Modifications to the Type Design
• Investigating design queries, and managing manufacturing non-conformance, ensuring that all Design, Airworthiness and safety requirements are met
• Liaising with other functions to ensure a fully integrated design solution.
• Act as the link between Engineering and Manufacturing, ensuring co-design solutions which are suitable for the industrial system whilst maintaining an engineering and most important customer perspective
• Provide on-site reactive and proactive 'lineside' build support and act as the focal point for Engineering
• Root cause analysis investigations into all abnormalities arising from design queries.

Essentials

• Engineering Degree or equivalent.
• Ability to use CATIA V5 proficiently.
• Design Engineering experience within an aerospace environment

Desirables

• Industry-recognised design signatory delegation (T200, Design Approval, Design Authorisation)

• Aerospace and defence experience
