Designer – Steel Industry / Construction. Tekla required
We are looking to recruit an additional Designer to join a small, dedicated, multidisciplined design team. Working as part of a team to coordinate the companies products into the built environment and provide design support both in the UK and Internationally.

We specialise in modular offsite construction. We provide structural steelwork, handrail, open grid flooring and other construction materials for a 2-stage build process (factory install to site install). We occasionally provide stairs and ladders. We are looking to recruit an additional Designer to join a multidisciplined Design team.
Mandatory Skills - Tekla
- Have Tekla detailing experience (3 years minimum).
- Have previously worked in structural steel detailing.
- Be competent to work independently and as a team on larger projects.
- Produce work to assigned deadlines.
- Have pride in their work.
- Collaborate with other Designers/ Engineers/ Architects.
Designer requirements:
Desirable
- Have an appreciation and understanding of offsite modular construction.
- Be keen to execute process improvements in future projects.
Duties
- Produce 3D models of steelwork structures using Tekla.
- Produce General arrangement drawings to a high level of detail along with fabrication drawings.
- Produce procurement information from a Tekla model (material call off).
- Collaborate with other designers in the same model.
- Collaborate with other designers that use Revit.
Renumeration
