Based in the Lisburn my client is a leading Sheet Metal manufacturing company who are number one within their market in the UK and Ireland. They rarely recruit due to their excellent work environment and they are seeking to hire an additional Design Engineer to be responsible for product design, development and support. To be considered you need at least 3 years mechanical design experience within a manufacturing environment, some experience of Sheet Metal fabrication would be an advantage. On offer is a salary of £35,000 - £40,000, pension, life assurance and an early finish at 1pm every Friday. Role – Design Engineer
·Create 3D models and associated drawings for both internal and external use to standardised methodologies.
·Carry out new product development and improvements to existing products.
·Produce load calculations, load tables, and carry out loading simulations /analysis.
·Carry out product testing and report creation for internal developments and third-party certification.
·Assist in the creation and maintenance of design specifications.
·Support in the development of design processes.
·Provide technical support to all areas of the business and customers.
Person – Design Engineer
·HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar qualification with at least 3 months experience years’ experience working as a Design Engineer within a manufacturing environment
·Proficient in the use of 3D Solid modelling software
·Recent experience working as a Design Engineer within a Sheet Metal fabrication environment is advantageous
