Design Engineer

White Label are excited to be recruiting for a full-time Mechanical Design Engineer for a thriving engineering company in the Blackpool area.
They are a successful sheet metal manufacturer and are looking for a Design Engineer with at least 3+ years of relevant work experience post education.

• 35k - 40k DOE

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting internal colleagues with design and development of new (and existing) products.
• Taking concept (s) through to full production and ongoing product life support
• Creating and maintaining all relevant specifications, part numbers and bills of materials, providing all information to relevant departments/ stakeholders.
• Producing accurate and robust costings and quotes within tight time scales
• Providing timely support and direction to internal production personnel and departments.
• Liaising effectively with internal and external customers
• Off site visits to suppliers and customers

Skills required

• HND or Degree in Mechanical or relevant field
• Previous hands on experience ideally gained in an industrial environment
• Ideally experience in a Sheet metal industrial environment
• Previous CAD experience ideally Solidworks or SolidEdge
• Computer literate and conversant with ERP systems
• Driving Licence
• Full UK working rights
