The Whittan Group is the largest manufacturer of steel storage products in the United Kingdom. Polypal UK is one of our market
leading brands; we design, manufacture and install storage solutions for commercial and industrial environments in the UK and
Europe.
We are looking for a Design Estimator to join our busy and growing organisation within the Polypal UK brand. The Design Estimator
will be responsible for supporting the Sales Function in winning new business by providing innovative storage and display
solutions to meet customer requirements.
Key responsibilities:
* Providing innovative scheme designs and estimation of project costs within agreed timescales.
* Investigate client sectors and develop product manuals to support during customer meetings.
* Using CAD systems to produce layout drawings and visuals for customer scheme presentation.
* Using a range of systems and software to arrive at an accurate BOM and competitive project cost.
* Create precise and detailed hand over documentation to allow coordinators and project managers to effectively deliver the
project.
Required skills & experience:
* Excellent client focused skills
* Working knowledge of 2D CAD
* Computer Literate
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Good in both written & oral skills
* Ability to work flexibly at different locations when required.
