We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Teacher of Design Technology & Engineering to join a highly large, improving comprehensive school in Bradford. The role is set to commence from Easter 2024 on a temporary basis and can become permanent for the right candidate. This position is ideal for educators who are eager to work within a collaborative and innovative team, dedicated to delivering an outstanding education of excellence.
Day to Day of the Role:- Inspire, motivate, and challenge students within the Design Technology & Engineering Department.
- Deliver a dynamic, challenging, and rewarding Technology curriculum.
- Work within our state-of-the-art Engineering and Design Centre to prepare students for future employment in the sector.
- Teach across various disciplines including design, engineering, and food technology, with a particular interest in candidates with a Food Technology background.
- Contribute to the department’s extracurricular activities and bespoke curriculum to enhance students’ learning experiences.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A passion for Design Technology & Engineering
- Ability to set high expectations that inspire, motivate, and challenge students.
- Strong subject and curriculum knowledge.
- Experience in planning and delivering well-structured lessons.
- Capability to adapt teaching to meet the needs of all students.
- Proficiency in making accurate and productive use of assessment.
- Effective behaviour management skills to ensure a good and safe learning environment.
