Applause IT are looking for a Desk Based Account Manager to join an established Birmingham based telecom service provider, who specialise in offering comprehensive managed communication services to Small, Medium, and Blue-Chip Enterprises. This role involves desk-based responsibilities, focusing on connecting with their SME clients to offer telecom services, across Mobile, Internet Connectivity, Hosted Telephony (VoIP), and Fixed Telephony.
You will be responsible for farming existing accounts, focusing on nurturing connections with the company's current clientele, providing opportunities for renewals, and actively engaging with potential new customers. Your role will involve overseeing a specific number of current accounts, focusing on both maintaining and expanding these accounts, as well as acquiring new business as and when opportunity presents.
The successful Desk Based Account Manager should have:
- Prior experience working in a desk-based sales role, selling telecom services including Mobile, Connectivity, VoIP, Fixed Telephony (IT but not essential and can train) etc.
- Experience in managing accounts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal capabilities.
- The ability to develop and build rapport with customers over the phone and via Teams.
- A determined sales mindset, highly motivated and driven with a desire to achieve and surpass set targets.
