Desktop Support EngineerLocation: Yeovil Salary: GBP29,290Requirements: must either hold or be able to obtain SC security clearance, British nationals onlyThe site benefits from easy access to travel links, free parking, and subsidised employee rates at the on-site restaurant.This is a full-time, permanent position working 08:00 - 17:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 - 16:00 on FridaysAs a Desktop Support Engineer your role will involve: Desktop / Laptop / VDI build, configuration and deployment to end users Software installation / deployment Smartphone deployment Assisting the 2nd Line support team with laptop, desktop and VDI terminals support calls Hardware installation / upgrade / break fix for desktop, laptop, and server Smartphone support Service Desk cover as required Assisting with customer projectsWhat we're looking for: Full UK driving license is essential to provide support across the large site and surrounding satellite sites Microsoft Windows 7 and 10 Operating Systems - Deployment, configuration and support Microsoft Office 2010 onwards Proven and demonstrable software and hardware troubleshooting skills, experience in a Deskside Support role Knowledge of Microsoft SCCM and OS / Application deployment Good verbal communication: ability to communicate to all levels Good written communication: concise and accurate call logging, documentation and email correspondence Good time management / organisational skills Work well as part of a team or independently Driving licence essential to provide support across the large site and surrounding satellite sitesDesirable skills / qualifications: Microsoft Windows 7/10 training and certification Active Directory management Understanding of SCCM Understanding of Mobile Iron or similar mobile device management platforms Understanding of McAfee EPAs an Company Employee you will benefit from: Flexible benefits including, medical insurance and eyecare vouchers Company pension scheme Income protection after 6 month's service 23 days holiday raising to max 25 Option to purchase / sell additional holiday Life insurance Employee Assistance ProgrammeIf you have the skill required, apply now!"In applying for this position, you consent to your personal data being shared with the specified employer and for your details to remain with GTS for as long as is necessary to process your application.
