Hamilton Woods Associates are currently working on behalf of a public sector client to recruit to a Development Project Manager on an initial interim basis.
Responsibilities of the Development Manager includes:
- Project managing the delivery of the organisations development programme to agreed time, cost and quality standards
- Providing excellent customer service to all stakeholders
- Maintaining a strong network of contacts to support the delivery of development projects
- Liasing with contractors, consultants, valuers, solicitors, developers and Home England Officers
- Manging planning conditions
- Preparing and maintaining scheme appraisals and cashflow forecasts
- Providing detailed analysis of progress of each home in build and assessment of progress with contract programme delivery
- Negotiating construction contracts to deliver best value for money
- Undertaking contract management and administration, including attendance at site meetings and progress review site visits
- Preparing accurate and succinct written reports for approval by Directors and Board
- Representing the organisation at external meetings
Requirements of the Development Manager:
- Previous experience of the delivery of large multi tenure sites in a property development role.
- Project management experience
- Familiarity with Homes England's requirements.
- Knowledge of the property development process, the built environment and principles of good design.
- Understanding of housing market dynamics.
