Yolk Engineering is managing the search for an R&D Test Engineer to join a global leader in electronic manufacturing. This is a broad role carrying out a variety of test and verification activities and experiments, contributing to the development of next generation technologies and products.
We're looking for someone with a background in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics, who'll enjoy a role that includes a mixture of hands on/hands off work. This is what you'll be doing:
- Carrying out varied test and verification activities to support Design & Development teams
- Develop and validate new test methods
- Carry out product and component improvement activities - test, verification and fault finding
- Assisting with prototype development
- Recording and compiling test data, writing detailed reports to support product development
- Carry out test equipment calibration
This is what you'll need
- An inquisitive mind and ability to experiment, interpret results and improve the next test
- A Degree, HNC or HND in an engineering discipline
- Experience of technical report writing
- Hands on skills - using electronic test equipment, or soldering, or writing code: Arduino/MATLAB
