Graduate Business Partnership Job Summary - Devon County Council are recruiting a Devon NatureRecovery Communications and Engagement Officer. You will lead on communication and Engagement for the Devon Local Nature Recovery Strategy and Local Nature Partnership – with potential to also support the Exe Estuary Partnership and Devon Maritime Forum. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, creative and confident individual with strong written and verbal communication skills.  You will be involved in a wide range of tasks including website development and updates, developing and implementing communication and stakeholder engagement strategies, producing communication materials, leading on social media and organising events. This role is part of the Graduate Business Partnership (GBP) scheme and offers a full-time contract for 12 months. You will be employed by the University of Exeter and seconded to Devon County Council.  You will be expected to attend meetings and workshops across Devon as well as spending at least two days a week in the Exeter office. About You - You should be a graduate who a genuine passion for communication and the UK’s natural environment, exceptional written and oral communication skills, strong organisational skills and experience of organising events and webinars, and the ability to work confidently with a wide range of people. You should have the ability to work on multiple tasks and deal with changing priorities, excellent attention to detail, and be self-motivated with the ability to work independently. You should also be able to work a part of a team, have experience using social media with an understanding of the different tones and audiences that come with each, have knowledge of Microsoft Office, and a genuine interest in working with diverse stakeholder groups. Experience with Wordpress and working with developers to build bespoke websites, graphic design skills, with knowledge and experience of Canva or Adobe Suite, and film-editing experience or knowledge of video editing software such as Premier Pro, After Effects, or iMovie experience are all desirable.
