DIGITAL ANALYST
Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 per annum
Reports to: Analytics and Reporting Manager
Department: Marketing, Fundraising and Engagement
Location: Stratford w/ high-flex (1 - 2 days per week in the office). We are open to further discussions on flexibility for the successful candidate.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Digital Analyst. This is a unique opportunity to provide expert analytics, data insight and reporting for Cancer Research UK's Marketing, Fundraising and Engagement digital portfolio. Our team is on the forefront of innovation having already implemented Google Analytics 4. We're looking for a highly skilled and energetic analytics professional to take this opportunity to optimise our activity and embed best practice across the organisation.
What will I be doing?
- Understanding stakeholder business objectives and gathering reporting and analysis requirements and documents as per the team's governance model
- Leading projects to develop and provide robust, high quality and insightful KPI reports and analysis for each area of the business
- Ensuring that reports and insights are communicated to stakeholders in a way that drives impact and influence
- Developing the ability to competently use a broad range of reporting and analysis tools across multiple data sources, building a source agnostic approach
- Investigating and reconciling data inconsistencies, ensuring that the Analyst & Reporting team produce consistent results and information
- Identifying opportunities and collaborating with other team members to improve the governance of reporting and analysis
- Building, developing and managing relationships and sharing skills and learning with key stakeholders and networks to ensure the work of the department matches needs and builds capability.
What skills are you looking for?
- Relevant experience of reporting and data analysis techniques and statistics gained in an organisation or agency
- Relevant knowledge of Digital Analytics and Digital Analytics Software (i.e., Google Analytics, Google Big Query)
- Relevant experience of manipulating a broad range of data sets for reporting needs or driving out insight (i.e. SQL, SPSS, SAS, R or Oracle commands)
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- Relevant experience of presenting findings using power point and data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Looker Studio), using outputs to make actionable recommendations
- Experience of leading and delivering projects with proven impact and demonstrating excellent project management and planning skills with ability to prioritise workload
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to convey expertise in a way that engages and builds their knowledge
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with others and work as part of a team.
