Job description

About us

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it.

We are looking for a talented Senior Digital Analytics Officer to lead our digital tracking work at Crisis, and to ensure all our planning and activity is shaped by data-led insights

Crisis is a supportive, flexible working environment.

Location: Flexible. Ideally a minimum of one day per month at our London office. We are open to a range of flexible working options, in line with Crisis’ Hybrid-Working Policy.

About the role

As Senior Digital Analytics Officer, you will lead best practice digital performance evaluation across Crisis to support the charity’s key goal of ending homelessness. You will maintain and leverage analytics tools, processes, and reporting for all Crisis digital channels, as well as researching and setting up new tools as required. You will provide key insights and optimisations, track user journeys and measure the impact of fundraising and campaigning activity. You will also manage the Crisis Google Grant account (alongside agency support), take a key ownership role in Crisis’ cookie policy and implementation, and stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in digital advertising. You will also support the Digital Marketing team in technical SEO activity. You will utilise your expert digital and analytics knowledge in helping to end homelessness, once and for all.

About you

You will have experience working as a digital analyst, a proven track record of sourcing data-driven insights and in providing analysis and recommendations to help continuously improve the performance of digital channels and campaigns. You will be the in-house digital analytics expert.

You will be fully proficient in various analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics 4 and Bing Analytics), as well as email and social media tracking tools. You will have experience drafting clear, concise reports and in providing considered recommendations based on your insights. You will be adept at communicating complex ideas simply and effectively and making recommendations to colleagues across the charity.

You will be confident using Google Data Studio/Looker, Google Tag Manager, Hotjar and various SEO tools. You will have a sound working knowledge of cookie compliance and take on the role of team lead for ensuring GDPR compliance and organisational confidence across paid media plans.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about data to join us in our mission to end homelessness.

We believe diversity is a strength, and our aim is to make sure that Crisis truly reflects the communities we serve. We are actively working towards our organisation being a place where everyone can thrive and make their best contribution to our mission of ending homelessness for good. We know that the more perspectives, voices, and experiences we can bring to this work, the better. We particularly welcome applications from people who have lived experience of homelessness, and people from all marginalised groups, communities and backgrounds.

Working at Crisis

As a member of the team, you will have access to a wide range of employee benefits including:

  • Interest free loans for travel season ticket, cycle to work, and deposit to secure a tenancy

  • Pension scheme with an employer contribution of 8.5%

  • 28 days’ annual leave

  • Enhanced maternity, paternity, shared parental, and adoption pay

  • Flexible working around the core hours 10am-4pm

  • And more! (Full list of benefits available on website)

Alongside our excellent staff benefits, we will support your ongoing development to build your skills, experience, and career.

When you join us, you will have the opportunity to join our staff diversity networks, which aim to champion issues across the organisation, enable staff to be their authentic and best selves and contribute to making Crisis a truly diverse organisation.
