Job description
We are looking for a Tutor to provide expert teaching and training for Level 3 qualifications, focusing on digital higher-level skills. Ensure learners receive top-quality education to prepare them for their next steps. Ideal candidates will have digital qualifications at Level 4 or higher and possess teaching or assessing qualifications. Collaborate with the Provision Manager to deliver exceptional learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the organization's mission, vision, values, and objectives.

- Adhere to health and safety policies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Prioritise safeguarding procedures for learners.
- Deliver online training for accredited Level 3 digital and technical subjects.
- Manage learner retention with engaging teaching and assessments.
- Collect and document learning evidence per company and funding requirements.
- Timely marking and assessment of learner work with constructive feedback.
- Assist with employability training, including CV writing, job search, interview techniques, and confidence building.
- Identify and support learners' strengths and weaknesses, updating group profiles and measuring progress.
- Create an engaging and motivating learning environment.
- Provide additional educational and pastoral support to individual learners or groups.
- Help learners improve their math's, English, and ICT skills.
- Develop innovative engagement methods with support from colleagues.
- Offer quality career and employability guidance.
- Boost learners' self-esteem and confidence.
- Create action plans with learners, monitor progress, and set SMART targets.
- Maintain accurate records of learner support and progress.
- Record daily attendance and promptly address absences.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of learning support documents.
- Communication and Administration:
- Take responsibility for Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity, Data Protection, and Safeguarding.
- Comply with all provided information and training, and address any concerns with the Department Manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Level 4 qualification (or higher) in the relevant digital and technical field.
- Level 3 Teaching Qualification and a willingness to upgrade to Level 4 within 12 months.
- Level 2 English and Math's at minimum Grade C (or equivalent) or willingness to achieve within 6 months.
- Level 3 ICT qualification at minimum Grade C or willingness to achieve within 6 months.
- Assessing Award (CAVA) or willingness to achieve within 3 months.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development (CPD).
- Up-to-date knowledge of current trends in the relevant field.
- Effective assessment skills and tech-savviness, especially with Microsoft Teams.
- Experience planning and delivering flexible training in workplaces or workshops.
- Strong organisational, time management, and administrative skills.
- Ability to meet timely success targets in regulated and government-funded training programs.
