RM Resources has ambitious plans to accelerate business growth and strengthen its market leadership in the Education Sector through a digital first approach. Following a multi-million pound digital transformation project, a new Digital Product team is being stood up within the IT function to help accelerate business growth ambitions within the digital ecosystem. Working with Digital Product Managers, the Digital UX Lead will be integral to the design and development of great online products and interfaces for our customers.
Core responsibilities
- Deliver user research discovery workshops with customers focus groups and work with Product Managers to deliver research that sets our work up for success
- Establish user needs, map user journeys and work with our SEO teams to create a best-in-class site architecture
Deliver exceptional function designs, from initial sketches through to prototypes, across platforms and devices using Figma and other tools - Plan and lead user research projects, based on strategic objectives
Conduct remote and on-site usability testing with real users to ensure the end-product design provides users with the optimum experience - Conduct site audits and work with our data and buissness analysts to unearth usability issues and opportunities for improvement
- Report and conduct analysis on Google analytics reports, research findings, and prioritise recommendations based on user needs
Work in unity with other designers, developers, business analysts, engineers and project managers - Liaise regularly with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure that designs meet their requirements and core business objectives
Take a leading role in developing new products and services, and iterating our agency processes
- User Experience and Interface Design - Gather learning objectives for priority initiatives and develop and execute on research strategies that deliver actionable insights, using qualitative and quantitative research methods to improve and innovate desktop and mobile user experiences
- Customer Insight- Evaluate, analyse, and understand the voice of the customer through a variety of data sources. Understand customer and user personas to develop unique propositions. Conduct user research and usability studies, collaborating with designers, developers , research teams and focus groups from end to end of the process
- Marketing- Work with digital marketing to develop positioning and messaging to ensure differentiation from competitors.
- Market analysis- Undertake market research, validation, and whitespace analysis to identify opportunities for new and existing features and functionalities to ensure RMR digital products offer advantages over the competitor products
- Strategy- Drive customer experience strategies to build best in class RMR digital products. Input into digital product strategy (short to long term) and digital strategy. Partner with business owners and agile product teams to build product roadmaps.
- Relevant degree in User Experience design, User Interface Design, HCI or equivalent
- Strong user of relevant wireframing, visual design and prototyping tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, InVision, etc.).
- Work with Product Managers and key stakeholders to understand the customer segments and related product/service offerings, producing and developing design concepts using best practice and latest research where appropriate (with appropriate experience of user testing tools and platforms)
- Implement design concepts into practical working prototypes to test a concept and process with users and focus groups
- Ability to confidently use analytics and insights to support design decisions (e.g. Google Analytics, Website heatmaps, Behaviour Analytics, Session Recording)
- Passionate about building great products and solving customer and business problems
- Minimum of 3 years experience in digital or ecommerce working in an agile software development environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- A self-starter who has a proactive approach to work
- Adaptable and flexible approach to work and the changing demands of the business
- Commercially focused
- Excellent attention to detail and has a proactive problem-solving approach
