Responsibilities

As part of HSBC’s digital strategy, markets continue to build their local digital teams and capability to build world class digital products and features for customer engagement through our digital channels.

From UK Digital perspective, HSBC are looking for a Digital UX/UI designer as part of UK Platforms team, to support multi brand and cross channel (mobile first) design activities.

The candidate will participant in all stages of design delivery from ideation to engineering support and post launch iterations. As part of the global HSBC design and digital community, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with colleague within UK digital, as well as wider local and international teams to deliver desired outcomes as one broader team.

•    Undertake and support in creation of channel propositions and services following user centred design techniques, including research and end user testing.
•    Briefing and managing agencies where appropriate, delivering within scope and build strong relationships internally and externally.
•    Support development concept designs and clickable prototypes to support stakeholder engagement and illustrate early design thinking. Provide support in all aspects of Analysis and Design functions.
•    Delivery of transformation objectives on plan with positive stakeholder feedback and navigate outcomes and integration between channels, regions and markets that delivers tangible and metric driven scorecard results.
•    Regular review to identify key risks, issues and interdependencies. Determine and apply appropriate mitigation strategies, and, seek opportunities to integrate, simplify and streamline activity.

Experience

•    Strong understanding of digital business, while experience with consumer-facing financial services product development is an advantage.
•    Strong UX / UI skills and experience in digital experience design and information architecture, understanding testing methods and translate the research findings into design requirements and solutions.
•    Strong analytical skills, pragmatic decision-making, with the ability to make clear judgments and understand the implications.
•    Proven ability to build strong relationship across stakeholder groups, effectively influence and communicate across various senior levels within the organisation.
•    Experience of using common interaction design and prototyping tools and to show resilience with shifting or competing priorities.
