To lead the London based global efx desk comprising of 2 traders at commencement and to grow the team as demand rises

The FX Trading role forms an integral part of the Global Treasury FX service delivery, both in terms of the technical excellence and operational and managerial leadership, needed to drive the Visa Global FX capability to meet the future demands of the business.

Visa is engaged in a multi-year FX investment cycle and this role will be responsible for providing technical expertise, operational implementation delivery and daily execution responsibility for the London based FX desk and for all aspects of growing and defending the Visa FX business.

The expansion of Global FX capability also involves partnering with 3rd parties and the role is responsible for influencing and developing joint services to further address evolving global needs and will also encompass being a trusted advisor in cross functional teams assessing build or buy decisions.

The role is additionally responsible for the development of efficient and continuous improvement of the current Global FX trading process and will lead the trading changes needed to reach and maintain an optimal global setting, both in terms of product offering and process.

Regional FX responsibilities comprise leading the FX liquidity/ risk management for Europe, providing expertise & solutions in response to externally and internally focused FX queries. The role will also provide coaching & training to the team of FX professionals that support both Global trading and regional activities.

The eFX Trader will lead the London team that manages the day-to-day operations of the eFX trading business, ensuring that FX pricing remains competitive and in line with overall strategy. The role will involve managing FX risk and liquidity across Visa, actively reviewing client performance and using analytics to improve business performance.

Role Description

Reporting to the Global Head of eFX, the eFX trader will:

Implement the current strategy for eFX Trading product and deliver the business objectives of financial targets, client delivery, and risk and control.

Continuously improve the FX desk performance to meet the evolving needs of the business.

Manage all day-to-day risks efficiently from the automated market making and risk management business.

Engage with the relevant teams to optimise FX product design and configuration.

Collaborate closely with the data and risk teams to implement and monitor the current eFX strategic design.

Manage liquidity provider relationships and collaborate with global sales teams and product to drive the client agenda.

Provide regular business updates on delivery and successes to management and other stakeholders.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
