We are currently seeking a Director, EM Credit Trading (Sovereign Analyst) to join the desk in London.

The role holder will also ensure the HSBC values are present in everything they do, both individually and as an organisation. Responsibilities:

- EM Credit Trading require desk analysts to assist with managing client flow and risk in the fast-evolving Emerging Markets that we cover.
- The hire will be responsibility for analysing, monitoring and identifying opportunities across emerging market sovereign credit in CEEMEA and APAC, and assisting trading, sales, and HSBC clients. 
- The individual will require knowledge of sovereign risk metrics and the ability to analyse debt profiles, economic data and political agendas in order to help trading identify fair valuations and opportunities in the credit books. 
- Possesses strong communication skills in order to convey thoughts, trade ideas and current events to internal and external stakeholders. 
- Have an entrepreneurial spirit with drive and motivation in order to push the analytical side of the business forward, and progress the business to the next level for HSBC and for HSBC's clients.
- The role will be hired in London and service CEEMEA and APAC regions.
- Trading Strategists will work on "event" situations in real time to increase risk taking/awareness and client flow. 

Request

- Detailed knowledge of all aspects of business’ trading areas. 
- Understanding of financial statements and various debt documents (including indentures/Credit Agreements)
- Education in Finance, Mathematics or equivalent work-related experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with very strong analytical skills. 
- Ability to multi-task and to work well under pressure, strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Able to understand complex and diverse instruments.

The location for this role is London.
