If you’re passionate about creating a sustainable future and have the skills to position CIWM as the voice of the resources, waste and circular economy sphere, we would welcome your application as our new Director of Communications and External Affairs.
As the leading professional membership body, training provider and awarding organisation for the sector, CIWM is at the forefront of change. Our sector is in a constant state of evolution, and we aren’t just witnessing this change; we’re leading it. As a key representative and spokesperson for CIWM, you will forge alliances and influence decision-makers, including government bodies, industry forums, and the public sector, to craft and implement policies that align with our purpose, mission and values and the interests of our members.
As a highly-skilled communicator, you’ll work closely with the Director of Innovation & Technical Services and other key stakeholders to navigate the complex landscape of legislative and regulatory frameworks, disseminate our work to connect and engage with wide audiences, and advocate for changes in regulations, laws, or industry standards that positively affect our profession. Working from our hub in the heart of Westminster a minimum of two days per week, you will build and maintain valuable external relationships on behalf of CIWM, our members and our stakeholders, all while protecting our reputation and upholding and championing our values.
