Job Title: Director of Education - Children's Services
Location: Based at Stevenage, Farnham House with hybrid working model
Starting Salary: £108,877 - £120,751 (our expectation is you start at £108,877 and progress)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Due to the upcoming retirement of our current Director of Education after a phenomenal 8 years with us as Director, we are looking for someone to join Children’s Services Senior Leadership Team and help to create a great future for children in Hertfordshire.
You will work closely with the Director of Inclusion and Skills around disadvantaged children and children with SEND, the scope and opportunities for you will be vast. You will be joining one of the largest authorities in the country with a population of 1.3m and 200,000 children in 530 Hertfordshire schools. You will play a key part in schools standards and effectiveness whilst having responsibility for funding streams including over £1.3bn of DSG funding.
We are looking for someone with a track record of working in a political context - managing complex stakeholder relationships including elected members, government agencies and the DfE.
