An opportunity to work within a non-profit organisation based in Guildford who are looking for a part-time Director of Finance (2 days per week). This charity is committed to making a meaningful impact to the local community and as such are seeking an individual who has previously worked within the non-profit sector and therefore familiar with the nuances and reporting expectations surrounding this position.
As the Director of Finance, you will work closely with the Director of Operations, Treasury, and report directly into the CEO whilst also supporting the Trustees to this charity. You will have line manager responsibility for the Finance Manager who is accountable for the day to finance operations.
This position will require someone to be resilient and support the committee through some demanding and challenging situations, providing a robust financial strategy for the next 5 years. You will be presenting at the monthly board level.
In addition to the strategic planning, you will be responsible for cash-flow forecasting, variances to budget and reconciliation of the balance sheet.
The successful Director of Finance will have:
- Qualified accountant - ACCA / ACA / CIMA / CA
- Previous experience of financial management and controllership at a similar level
- Experience of working in a non-profit / charity sector
