Delivering through an experienced team, the Director of Operations is responsible for providing strategic leadership at our Helipad.
The successful candidate will be a proven leader, with a demonstrable track record in managing multi-disciplinary team and enable them to perform specific and complex operational functions. More specifically, as the Accountable Manager (AM) for London’s Air Ambulance Air Operations Certificate (AOC), the post-holder will be accountable for all aspects of aviation within LAA. Delivery of a robust and transparent Safety Management System in line with the principles of a Just Culture is essential. Oversight of Compliance, under the regulatory framework imposed by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is also key. Previous experience of AOC and related functions is required, and the post holder will be required to successfully complete the CAA’s Accountable Manager course.
