The Role
We are seeking a Finance Director to lead the development, implementation and review of Kings Place Music Foundation’s (KPMF) finance strategy. You will be responsible for the effective running of the finance department, ensuring timely and accurate financial information reaches all stakeholders, and strong management of the finance team.
This is a key position in the KPMF leadership team. You’ll work alongside the organisation’s other Directors to drive income growth, and lead on creating a 3-year-financial plan to ensure a sustainable future for the charity. An important part of the role is actively engaging with the KPMF Trustees and Auditors. As part of the team of Directors you’ll share responsibility for the operational effectiveness of the business, including team management and business planning.
The Person
You will be a Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with a track record of leadership in a senior finance role and experience of managing a team. Balancing experience of working in the charity or non-profit sector, you will also have a high level of commercial awareness and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Having a broad and deep knowledge of technical finance matters, you will be able to demonstrate a range of experience in accounting processes. A strong team player with the ability to work accurately and meet targets in a busy office environment, you should be adaptable and good humoured under pressure. Candidates must have the advocacy, diplomacy and communication skills to represent the organisation and deal with senior stakeholders like Trustees and Auditors.
The role requires an inspirational leader who is able to communicate complex financial information to non-finance colleagues. The right candidate will have the analytical, communication and presentation skills to drive KPMF’s financial strategy and ensure a sustainable future for the charity.
Working Pattern: Kings Place operates a hybrid working model. The role is partially venue based, for meetings, collaborative working and events. Administrative work can be done remotely. Staff work approximately 60% on site and 40% WFH, but this is open to flexibility.
This role is open to part-time and flexible working arrangements.
