Every 16 minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with blood cancer. Survival rates are among the worst of any cancer and the physical and psychological impact can be lifelong. Despite decades of incredible progress, only half of leukaemia patients live longer than 5 years after their diagnosis and we won’t until we change this.
Leukaemia UK is part way through a 5-year plan to increase our investment into ground-breaking world-class research, advocacy and awareness focused on improving diagnosis, kinder, more effective treatment, and care for leukaemia and other blood cancers. To do this, we are in a period of significant growth, investing strategically to grow our income, profile, influence, engagement and impact.
