The opportunity
Our Client are seeking a passionate and dedicated candidate to join their Housing team. If you are someone who shares theirr passion to improve the lives of some of the most vulnerable groups then they would love to hear from you.
They are looking for a new Director of Housing, will lead on strategic development, business growth, governance, and working closely with Housing managers, to lead change management across their Housing Team as they work together to improve the housing and homelessness sector’s response to domestic abuse, so that all victims and survivors can achieve safety and housing security.
The Director of Housing’s portfolio includes oversight of the delivery of Housing team programmes, including the Housing First & Homelessness, the Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA), and the Whole Housing Approach programmes. With responsibility for the overall funding and development of the programmes, they will provide support and supervision to their Head of Housing; and any other relevant identified roles. The Director of Housing will also be responsible for internal and external relations, and forge strong working relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders and sector partners; contributing to organisation integration, policy change and successful funding opportunities.
They will work with the CEO and our Executive Team to optimise business performance, strategic development, and constructively contribute as a Senior Leadership/Executive Team member.
You will be confident and excited to lead a large team to achieve a shared mission and objectives. With expertise of working at a strategic level and change management you will hold a track record for building strong strategic and operational relationships internally and externally to organisations you have supported. As a confident communicator across various forums of communication, you will also be experienced in providing support and supervision to managers and senior staff. They are a national charity bringing communities together to end domestic abuse.They pioneered the Coordinated Community Response (CCR) approach in the UK, a multi-agency partnership model for keeping survivors safe and holding abusers to account. The Housing Team focuses on responding to the housing and homelessness needs of victims/survivors of domestic abuse, through influencing national and local policy and practice, across all relevant agencies, but with a specific focus on the role of the housing and homelessness sector as a part of a Coordinated Community Response to domestic abuse.
