A world-renowned organisation is looking to recruit a Director of Operational Finance on an interim basis.
This interim post is a critical hire in order to ensure that the Finance function continues on its journey of continuous improvement and delivers its objectives whilst the substantive post-holder is recruited.
As the interim Director of Operational Finance you will be responsible for the following:
- External reporting including statutory accounts and other regulatory returns
- To lead and be accountable for the production of the statutory accounts and to ensure the organisation has systems and controls in place to comply with all relevant accounting standards and guidance
- Responsible for all external reporting including the production of the annual accounts
- Lead the delivery of financial information to a variety of stakeholders, ensure compliance with all external and regulatory reporting
- Provide technical expertise on all aspects of technical accounting across the organisation
- To ensure that effective arrangements are in place for the financial management and control of the organisation’s subsidiary companies and other related parties
- Responsible for ensuring there is a strong control framework across the whole of the Finance function
- Drive process improvement across the relevant finance teams
- Identify gaps in the provision of information to users, inefficiencies in business processes and/or opportunities relating to improved functionality of the core finance systems
This opportunity would suit an interim who has previously been parachuted into organisations of scale, c£1bn turnover, and who thrives in environments where technical excellence is required at all times.
