In this pivotal role, you will support the Head of Transactional Finance, providing both operational and strategic leadership. Your expertise will be crucial in transforming our Transactional Finance service, ensuring that our accounts payable, accounts receivable, and banking functions operate seamlessly and meet the needs of both our internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Transformation: Be the senior lead on the transformation of Transactional Finance, driving efficiency and effectiveness across all operations.
- Operational Management: Oversee the operational administration and management of the Council’s ERP accounts receivables and debt management functions and services.
- Strategic Development: Lead the development of long-term strategies to enhance and improve the services provided by the Transactional Finance teams.
- Customer Focus: Ensure that our services are responsive and tailored to the needs of our diverse customer base.
How will you make an impact as our Transactional Finance Senior Operational Lead?
- Proven experience in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and banking functions ideally gained working in a Local Authority or the Public Sector
- A relevant accountancy qualification (AAT, CIMA, ICAEW, ACCA, CIPFA, or ICAS)
- Strong strategic planning and operational management skills.
- A commitment to customer service excellence and continuous improvement.
- The ability to inspire and lead a team towards achieving ambitious goals.
- Strong communication skills are key
- A solid grasp of Finance operations best practices will set you up for success in this role.
- You will be able to commit to a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
- This role offers flexible home working blended with travel into our London Bridge HQ.
