Job description

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join Thames Valley Police in one of our most senior and influential roles, reporting directly to the Chief Constable of Thames Valley Police.

As our Assistant Chief Officer - Director of People, you will drive the vision, leadership and strategic direction in the delivery of human resource management and learning & development for Thames Valley Police to enable transformational change, improvements in quality, efficiency and organisational effectiveness.  You will be a key member of the Chief Officer Group, contributing to the overall strategic leadership of the force, providing executive-level responsibility and accountability for risk-based decision-making across multi-discipline and complex business areas where there may be conflicting priorities or ambiguity.

What we can offer you in return is being part of the wider policing family and all the support that comes with that throughout your career journey with us. This role offers a hybrid work style with flexible working conditions. You will enjoy a fantastic range of benefits including private health care, 30 days leave per annum, plus Bank Holidays.
