The Landscape Institution is looking for an experienced Policy and Public Affairs professional with a passion for the environment and nature to join our Senior Leadership Team at an important time of change and transformation.
The Landscape Institute is the professional home and voice for everyone working in the landscape sector and serves society by upholding the highest professional and technical standards. Our members work everyday to balance the social, economic and environmental needs of urban and rural areas to deliver outstanding placemaking and create inclusive, sustainable and healthy communities.
This new role of Director of Policy and Public Affairs is pivotal to the future strategic direction of the Institute and we are looking for an inspirational senior leader with experience of managing change and a track record of producing high-qualify impactful policy and research and Public Affairs activity.
Ideally you will possess a deep knowledge and appreciation of the natural and built environment. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to build relationships of trust and openness with a wide range of stakeholders from government officials to members of the media.
You will develop and deliver a strategic and robust approach to the development of evidence-based policy and technical standards and oversee and manage the Institute’s Public Affairs activities, community organising and campaigning to achieve policy change.
