Role: Director of School Improvement

Term: Full time, permanent (periodic evening meetings required)

Base: Liverpool Road Studios, 113 Liverpool Road, Crosby L23 5TD

Salary: Circa £100k (negotiable dependent on experience)

About Mersey View Learning Trust

Chesterfield High School Academy is leading the establishment of the Mersey View Learning Trust with Forefield Infant & Junior School, Forefield Junior School, Rowan Park, Valewood Primary and Waterloo Primary. Together, the Trust aims to provide an inclusive educational pathway for pupils aged 0-19, which will comprise nursery, infant, junior, primary, secondary, special alternative provision schools.

Our schools share the same values and have worked together for a considerable time to build a strong collaboration of curriculum development and innovative leadership at all levels. The formation of a multi-academy trust is the natural next step to deliver a broad and balanced inclusive curriculum and raise outcomes for pupils.

Our Trust partnership will use our existing strong interrelationships and depth of experiences to be able to support each other in becoming even better places for pupils to achieve even greater outcomes academically and in regard to personal growth. Our Trust’s role is to break down the barriers and allow teachers and leaders do the job they were trained to do.

The Trust central team ensures that our business model delivers efficiency, effectiveness and economies of scale so schools have the best opportunities to succeed.

About the role

At this important stage in the Trust’s development, we are seeking an inspirational strategic leader with a proven track record of School Improvement to help us realise our vision. This is a new role and the successful candidate will work closely with our CEO to embed our School Improvement strategy and maximise the performance of all of our schools.

Experience of successfully implementing strategies to rapidly improve and sustain high outcomes and performance is absolutely essential for this role. Combined with this, you will bring credibility, the proven ability to lead transformational change and leadership qualities that motivate and drive forward individuals and teams to be highly successful.
