Description
I am recruiting for a Director of Prudential Policy (Insurance & Banking) with a major financial services institution based in London. You will be responsible for:
- Insurance sector policy including the completion of the current Solvency II Review reforms and the implementation of new international insurance standards.
- Cross-sectoral policy including governance, remuneration, operational resilience, ease of exit, accounting and audit, regulatory reporting, and climate.
- Collaborative approach to addressing issues which have cross-institution implications.
- Representing the organisation externally on relevant policy issues, related to both banking and insurance. This includes building effective relationships with HM Treasury, the FCA and other regulators internationally, trade associations and financial services institutions.
Profile
You will have:
- Good knowledge of the banking and/or insurance sector, and its prudential regulation.
- Strong strategic and delivery skills, to shape and lead the Directorate to execute its policy approach and deliver its priorities for the insurance sector and cross-sectoral policy topics.
- A strong track record of building and leading teams to deliver intellectually-demanding projects to achieve effective prudential outcomes.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills: the role-holder will need to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of senior stakeholders including those from FCA, HMT, and regulators in other jurisdictions. trade associations and financial services institutions.
- Establish significant personal impact, and exercise sound judgement, in their interactions.
- Leadership experience: the role-holder will be responsible for helping to lead and set the strategic direction for the Directorate,
Job Offer
£130,000 - £150,000 PA DOE plus excellent benefits and bonus
