SalaryA leading City of London law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Disputes Associate (2-6 PQE) to join its busy and thriving Commercial Dispute Resolution Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a broad range of interesting and complex UK and cross-border disputes within a supportive and dynamic team environment.
The Disputes Associate's role
The successful Disputes Associate will join a friendly and hardworking team that prides itself on a healthy and supportive culture. The Disputes Associate will be responsible for handling all forms of company and commercial disputes, including investor and shareholder claims, breach of duties by directors and professional advisors, and all forms of asset recovery and fraud, often involving cross-border and offshore locations.
The Disputes Associate will also advise on regulatory issues in financial and banking transactions and disputes, including mis-selling, Ombudsman complaints, loans, repossessions, PPI, and CCA claims. Additionally, the Disputes Associate will represent lenders in leading cases in the lending arena and advise on disputes arising from fraudulent borrowing, including mortgage fraud, money laundering schemes, and employee fraud.
The Disputes Associate
- 2-6 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in a similar role within a reputable law firm.
- Strong experience in handling complex commercial disputes, both UK-based and cross-border.
- Expertise in investor and shareholder claims, asset recovery, and fraud cases.
- Proven track record in advising on regulatory issues in financial and banking transactions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic approach to dispute resolution.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to a supportive and healthy team culture.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
