Divisional Head of Engineering
Homebased: extensive UK travel to 2SFG Sites
2 Sisters Food Group is recruiting a Divisional Head of Engineering for the UK Poultry Division to drive standards and improvements across our 8 manufacturing sites. This position forms part of Operational Leadership Team for Division as the Lead for the Operational Engineering Function.

As a result, this opportunity will give the right person the opportunity to make real changes and improvements. The position will suit someone with multi-site experience and who has a proven track record of Leading and developing Operational Engineering as a function.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Head of Engineering will report into the Capital Project and Engineering Director and be responsible for; providing leadership to the Engineering Functions at the sites, developing an appropriate culture to improve engagement, cost focus and sustainable operational reliability and performance in support of Operations.
The key outputs include:
- Delivery of a targeted and sustainable plan within agreed cost, quality, service and carbon reduction parameters.
- Ensure that Engineering functions, are conducted in manner which fully complies with health and safety, quality, environmental and Company policies.
- Develop and implement medium- and long-term strategies for Engineering in line with the overall Divisional and Group strategies working closely with colleagues from all functions - Technical, Operations, Health & Safety, Process and Projects
- Lead and mentor the Site Engineering teams to develop the competence and capability required to support Operations, and the Technologies we will employ in the future.
- Be visible to sites & build strong working relationships with the Operational Leadership Team – Site Directors, Ops Director, H&S, Technical, Finance.
- Drive the continued evolution and sustainability of the newly established CMMS system, continual audit of Downtime. – Div KPI
- Ownership and development of the Engineering Resource Pipeline for the Division – Succession Planning, Apprenticeship Programme, Graduate Programme.
- Develop and continually audit accurate R&M budgets with each site. – Div KPI
- Develop and continually audit accurate Engineering Stocks with each site. – Div KPI
- Support the sites with review and development of the annual “Lights on” Capex budget.
- Manage and review all external OEM maintenance contracts with the Site Teams.
ABOUT YOU:
- Long standing experience in a senior engineering position, across multiple sites.
- Experience manufacturing is essential.
- Food manufacturing desirable
- Experience within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience of implementing structured engineering plans and systems
- Excellent H&S knowledge
- Utilities and services knowledge
