We have a fantastic opportunity for a DNA Input Assistant at Lancashire Constabulary. This is a full-time temporary role for the next 5 - 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
What is the role?
Lancashire Constabulary are looking for a DNA Input Assistant to maintain and monitor computerised databases relevant to the DNA Submissions, Scientific Support.
What are your responsibilities?
- To monitor DNA samples received, carry out quality control checks.
- Maintain accurate computerised records, relating to various computer systems.
- Advise on administrative procedures relating to DNA sampling.
- Liaise with internal and external Agencies/enquiries as appropriate.
- Be responsible for improving your performance by participating in the Continuous Personal Development (CPD) process with your manager.
- Promote and comply with Lancashire Constabulary’s policies on equal opportunities and health and safety both in the delivery of service and the treatment of others.
- Carry out any other duties which are consistent with the nature, responsibilities and grading of the post.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high standards of service with an emphasis on Quality at all times.
What skills do you Need?
- Must have previous DBA Input Assistant / Data Entry experience.
- Excellent People skills, as you will be speaking to the public, other members of staff and senior managers.
- Strong IT Skills, as you will be using word and excel packages alongside internal systems.
- Excellent telephone manner
- Full Police Vetting will be required before you can start the position.
