My client is currently recruiting for an experienced Document Controller based in their East London office. This is a great opportunity to join a good company where you can progress within the business.
Main Duties
- Ensure that all technical project drawings and documentation notifications from the client Electronic Document Management System; are checked, accurately recorded and distributed to the project team.
- To track, QA check and upload technical project drawings, technical submittals, RFI's, commissioning certificates to the client Electronic Document Management System and company project file.
- Manage & maintain the project filing system, ensuring the company file structure is strictly adhered to, and that all information is accurate and up to date.
- To continuously prioritise documents by maintaining an awareness of project progress at all times.
- Establish and maintain trackers to deliver accurate and timely reports related to document control as requested by the project manager
- Dealing with outstanding tech sub approvals, unanswered RFIs, QA Rejected, Status C documents, RAMS, plant & equipment, holidays, installation progress, commissioning, snags etc.
- General administration, including typing, distribution, copying and filing general correspondence. arrange couriers, order stationery, reprographics, consumables and PPE Equipment for the Project teams

Skills & Qualifications
- 2-3 years Document Controller experience, working in a construction site environment
- Experience using an electronic document control system (Sharepoint, Asite etc)
- Proven planning and process management skills
- Strong knowledge of Word, Excel. PowerPoint and Outlook
- Good management skills, ability to prioritise work
- Attention to detail
- Can do attitude and with a flexible approach
- Reliable and able to work under minimum supervision
- Ability to work as a part of the team as well as under own initiative
- Good level of English language written and verbal skills
