Duties:
Job Desciption:
- The management of all documentation and records flowing in and out of the Design Department in both paper and electronic format; ensuring an ordered and comprehensible process of document retrieval, version control, storage and archive.
- It is a requirement that the use of external web-based document management systems is applied, such as SHarepoint. where possible which require uploading, coding, numbering and issuing of documents. Training will be given to support any internal systems used.
- Ensure procedures are followed and proactively engage with document issuers to assist and teach them the correct quality assurance procedures with respect to document control.
- Consistent evaluation of all procedures to ensure their relevance and update and amend in line with changing standards and industry best practices.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferable.
- A reasonable understanding of the requirements of a document management system.
- Previous experience within a design environment is preferable but not essential
- Proactive, enthusiastic to perform the role and assist other members of the team to achieve successful outcomes.
- Good communication skills
