Job Introduction
We currently have an opportunity for a part-time Domestic worker to join our team in our Residential Care Home at Plume Avenue, Prettygate, Colchester CO3 4PG for adults with learning disabilities. This is a great opportunity for a person-centred individual who wants to support our clients to live in a safe, clean, and homely environment.
Role Responsibility
As a Domestic worker you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that a first-class cleaning service is delivered to all houses, departments, and communal areas throughout the home.
The successful candidate for this role will have:
- Previous experience in domestic services or cleaning preferred.
- The ability to implement and adhere to standards and procedures, in relation to Health & Safety & COSHH.
- To be led by example and possess good interpersonal skills.
- Must have a good understanding of COSHH products and data sheets, and experience in domestic work is preferred.
Package Description
Hourly rate is: £11.44
Hours: 3 hours per day starting from 9.30/10 am to 12.30/1 pm Monday- Friday = 15 hours per week
Location: Plume Avenue, Prettygate, Colchester CO3 4PG
As a Domestic worker, you will be responsible for the day-to-day cleaning duties set out by management and need to be able to effectively communicate with staff, colleagues, and Managers, taking corrective action where appropriate.
The successful candidates must have the:-
- Ability to work as part of a team
- A good level of knowledge of Health & Safety & COSHH
- Understanding of quality standards
- Ability to listen and have good communication skills
- Ability to understand change and adhere to standards and procedures
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and understand, accept, prioritise and carry out instructions
- Ability to deal with confidential issues
- Ability to act on own initiative and adapt quickly to change
- Ability to monitor performance levels.
