JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports to Project Manager

Holiday Entitlement 28 Days per annum (pro rata)

Duties

· Ensure that all floors are swept and mopped thoroughly with the designated floor cleaner.

· Ensure all carpets are vacuumed and skirting boards are wiped in all rooms.

· High and low dusting of furniture, ledges, door frames, window sills, radiators etc.

· Wash all toilet bowls and washbasins using the designated cleaner or wipes.

· Damp wipe down taps, mirrors, pipes, cisterns, soap dispensers, hand towel dispensers, wall tiles, walls, internal and external doors and door frames, telephones, tables, chairs with the designated cleaners.

· Empty all bins and re-line them.

· Clean interior windows when needed.

· Wipe light switchers and wall sockets.

Job Activities

· To be responsible for a wide range of cleaning duties at ACE Nursery, Keeping all areas clean ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is maintained at all times

· Undertaking training in specific areas

· To maintain the cleaning cupboard and all equipment used within the job role

· Working safely using the correct signs, clothing and equipment in accordance with the health and safety guidelines of the nursery

· Replenishing supplies of toiletries, soap, hand towels and refuge sacks and to ensure that equipment is in good working order

· Ensuring all containers of cleaning agents are correctly labelled and safely stored, used in accordance with the manufacturers written instructions.

· Ensuring that all cloths and mops etc are maintained and or washed to a high standard and left to dry appropriately.

· Report any Health and Safety issues immediately to a Manager

· Order and keep a good stock of cleaning equipment and materials

· To ensure the safe removal of litter to the allocated disposal point

· Any other duties that are requested of you by a Manager

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
