Job description

Bawso is the lead organisation in Wales providing practical and emotional support to black minority ethnic (BME) and migrant victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence, human trafficking, Female Genital Mutilation and forced marriage.

We are seeking to appoint for the following position:

Independent Personal Advisor / Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IPA / IDVA)

Location: Cardiff

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week

Salary: £23,172 per annum

Contract length: up to 31st March 2025

The purpose of this role is to provide a high-quality frontline service to victims of domestic and sexual abuse and wider VAWDSV issues. Delivering a range of early intervention and prevention work, intensive support, accommodation based support and group work.

This role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).
