Contract: Temporary contractworking through Guide Dogs’ partner agency, Inspired People.

Location: Remote, expectation of travel across the UK as well as regular visits to the Guide Dogs central office in Reading.
Overall role purpose:
Face to Face fundraising is an essential and highly effective part of Guide Dogs fundraising programme, to find new supporters to Guide Dogs’ regular giving campaigns. Guide Dogs provides vital servicers for those living with sight loss and without the income raised through their face to face fundraising channels, would not be able to deliver their life changes services including guide dog, children and young people and adult rehabilitation services.
The In House Door to DoorCampaign Manager manages the day-to-day running of the in-house Door to Door campaign. They will lead the in-house face to face team to ensure the team deliver the target of new donors to Guide Dogs whilst driving the long-term strategy for the in-house face to face recruitment channel, ensuring a strong return on investment, stability for future growth as well as driving quality and compliance.
The position will be joining an established campaign with teams across England and Scotland.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, coach, and manage the day to day running of the in-house campaign by training & monitoring teams to represent Guide Dogs in public and achieve sign-up and quality targets.
- Ensuring the field teams are equipped to carry out their roles, including managing and monitoring stock levels. Working closely with the office team to facilitate any stock requests in a timely manner.
- Ensure that administrative tasks are carried out in accordance with Guide Dogs’ policies including payroll and expense submissions.
- Work closely with the Guide Dogs’ Face to Face Manager and office team to deliver wider strategic Guide Dogs objectives working collaboratively and with a solution-focused approach, providing proactive recommendations for improvements.
- Set clear strategic objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to maximise the return on investment (ROI) of the campaign.
- Manage and monitor the in-house face to face budget for both expenditure and recruitment targets. Alter plans to ensure target is hit when required and monitor results to ensure cost per acquisition is minimised whilst proactively liaising with stakeholders on any changes.
- Alongside the Guide Dogs face to face team, ensure the field teams are compliant with the Chartered Institute of Fundraising, GDPR, Fundraising Regulator and all other legislative requirements and best practice guidelines as well as managing complaints and aiding in investigations.
- Input into the Channel Team & wider departmental plans and strategies to help achieve product targets, utilising the face to face stream in conjunction with other areas of Fundraising as and when required.
- Continually monitor industry activities to drive innovation across face to face channels.
- Work with Inspired People, Guide Dogs, and field teams to ensure resourcing needs are met, carrying out interviews and onboarding where required.
- Lead the team from front and fundraise where required.
Selection Criteria
Essential qualities and skills:

- Experience at all levels within a field-based fundraising team.
- At least 2 years’ experience managing a Door to Door Fundraising Campaign or similar.
- Experience of managing teams remotely.
- Experience of recruiting, onboarding, and training staff.
- Ability to set and reach fundraising targets and motivate a team to achieve targets, including implementing performance management measures where targets are not met.
- Excellent communication skills: able to easily build rapport with a diverse range of people and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft office packages, such as Word and Excel.
Desirable qualities and skills:
- Experience of managing a team of 30 or more people.
