Shift Pattern: 5 from 7 Flexible approach Salary: Up to £35,000 Per Annum Job Description We are currently seeking a Driver Trainer to join our Training team at our Heywood site. As a Driver Trainer you will responsible for delivering Driver training for a specific site & lead the way by working with our driver team out on the road Job responsibilities of a Driver Trainer include: Work with the driver team to further develop a safety / compliance first culture. Deliver in house, driver CPC and annual driver assessment training, a flexible approach is required for this as our drivers and site runs 24 x 7, some training will need to be done on nights. Deliver training relating to industry and group best practice. Use Fueltek and Microlise performance stats to deliver proactive training / coaching to driver teams. Provide new starter training / Inductions. Monitor and evaluate all legislative changes, assessing the impact to site requirements and ensuring site needs are met at all times. Keep and maintain up to date accurate digital records of all training undertaken. Offer insight and support to the transport management team with vehicle and personal accident investigations. Offer insight and support to the transport management team with driver infringements, proactively coaching repeat offenders. Further design, develop and implement risk assessments and safe systems of work for the Heywood operation. Attend group training forums, feeding back on group initiatives and projects. When training times are a quiet, a flexible approach, mucking in out on the road with the team. Qualifications As a Driver Trainer you will possess the following skill, experiences and qualifications: Knowledge of Working Time Directive and drivers hours legislation Attention to detail/ accuracy LGV C&E Driving Licence JAUPT accredited Previous experience of telematics, preferable, Microlise Previous experience of tachograph analysis programmes Able to work as part of a team Adaptable approach to work / training Excellent communication / presentation skills Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure Effectively able to prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines A good standard of computer literacy, particularly MS Office applications Able to manage effectively and communicate to all levels of our business A proactive forward thinker Additional Information As part of our drive to make Great Beara great place to work, we are proud to be an inclusive and diverse organisation where we are committed to employee development and recognising success for hard working performers.
