Shifts – (Days):

• Various shifts required
• Our customer operates a 7 day week operation, Drivers Mate's are required to be flexible in supporting the operational delivery runs/shifts around various working days and start times

Start times:

0700am - 1600pm (basic hours without any overtime)

0800pm - 1700pm (basic hours without any overtime)

11:00am - 20:00pm ( (basic hours without any overtime)

**You must be available to work regular Weekend shifts, Saturday or Sunday (paid with overtime rates)

Job Description:

We are looking to register RELIABLE candidates, with a mature attitude to work, who have previous experience working as a Drivers Mate. The work we provide should be treat with respect as if working full time.

The role requires a Drivers Mate/Porter to support the lead driver working as part of a home delivery team. You will be delivering goods to general public customers for a home and building product specialist.

As a Drivers Mate you will support all aspects of the daily distribution requirements, from safe loading of goods onto the wagon on a morning with the Driver, customer courtesy calls pre-delivery, supporting house/delivery location, safe unloading of goods, manual handling of goods to customers property and delivery point, successful completion of all delivery paperwork, keeping the wagon and box trailer clean and tidy, helping in the warehouse to ensure all returns are safely logged back in.

Requirements:

• Be competent and able to follow Health & Safety practises and procedures at all time
• Be reliable and hold excellent time keeping
• Hold a flexible ‘can do’ attitude to your work
• Good command of English both written and spoken
• Excellent communication skills
• Keep vehicle is kept clean and tidy at all times
• Have excellent geographic knowledge of UK road network
• Have a positive attitude and a professional work ethic
• Presentable and professional appearance

Qualifications / training / experience:

You must be able to provide the following;

• Proven experience in previous Drivers Mate role
• 2 work check-able work references

Pay

Monday to Friday £10.00ph basic rate / £16.50ph Weekday Overtime (after contracted 9hrs)

Saturday £16.50ph all hours Saturdays

Sunday will be paid at double time of basic rate

(Porters can regularly earn £570.00+ per week (before tax).
