We are looking for a Drug and Alcohol Recovery Coordinator to join our Forward Leeds team on a 12-month fixed term contract (with a possibility of extension).

About the role…
Change Lives Every Day as an Focused Intervention Team worker, you will be at the forefront of change, impacting the lives of those who need it the most. Your responsibilities will include:
- Comprehensive Care: Managing a caseload of individuals struggling with non-opiate and / or alcohol misuse, by devising, implementing, and reviewing ongoing recovery and treatment plans.
- Empowerment: Facilitating and promoting individuals' progression from initial engagement through structured treatment to self-sustained recovery.
- Community Well-Being: Reducing substance-related harm to individuals and the wider community.
- Collaboration: Collaborating with key partners and colleagues to achieve the best health and wellbeing outcomes.
- Multidisciplinary Approach: Engaging in multidisciplinary work with external partners, including GPs, social care, hospital teams, and other healthcare professionals.
This role is Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, with one late finish per week – time is given back elsewhere in the week (i.e. early finish or late start on another day).
About You
Join our Passionate Team: We are looking for individuals who share our passion for making a difference and are committed to providing fair chances for all. We are looking for:
- Experience in the social or health care sector
- Experience or interest in supporting people with substance misuse issues and addiction.
- Strong Understanding: A strong understanding of and ability to implement interventions, including brief interventions MI, PSIs, CBT, and ITEP.
- Experience in delivering 1-2-1 and group therapeutic interventions.

You will be part of our dynamic Forward Leeds Team, a supportive and welcoming multi-disciplinary recovery team. Our team comprises colleagues from diverse professional and personal backgrounds, including Recovery Coordinators, Detox Workers, Medics, Housing and Criminal Justice workers, Individual Placement Specialists, and Volunteers. We are all united by our passion for supporting and promoting recovery in our local community.
