Duty Manager
Location: Chantry Centre, Andover
Contract Type: 1 x full time 37 hours per week at Grade 6
Working Pattern: Various shift patterns on a rota, working between 7.00am and 9.30pm Monday to Saturday and 9am-5pm on Sundays
Salary: £28,946 - £31,531 per annum (Grade 6)
The Chantry Centre has an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team in delivering excellent customer service whilst supporting the efficient and safe day to day operation of the Centre.
The Chantry Centre has 58 retail units, 50 within the centre and 8 externally, office accommodation, 5 service yards, hosts monthly indoor market, temporary traders and events in the centre.
Our Chantry Centre team are part of our Property and Asset Management Service, who look after all the Council’s premises and property portfolio.
As well as working within the Centre, you’ll have regular contact with Service colleagues, Customers, Tenants and Contractors.
What you’ll be doing
Your work will involve:
- Being the onsite point of contact for the Chantry Centre; communicating effectively with customers, contractors, and tenants.
- Working within a team of Duty Managers to support the Chantry Centre Operations Manager in the efficient and safe day to day operation of The Chantry Centre, including supervising and leading a team of Facilities Assistants.
- Producing daily work rotas, monitoring compliance works, ensuring compliance delivery and recording results
- Ensuring the correct documentation is in place and approved for contractors to undertake their works in a safe and compliant way
- Undertake regular meetings with Facilities Assistants for efficient communications and training
What we are looking for:
You will need to be a confident communicator when dealing with customers, colleagues, contractors and tenants and be able to multi task, problem solve, make decisions and deliver.
You will have a flexible approach to work.
You should have experience in customer service, ideally retail experience and Duty Manager, Supervisory or Management experience.
Working Patterns
We work a variety of shift patterns to provide management cover across all the shopping centre opening hours. There may also be the requirement to provide out of hours cover should a tenant request it. Plus, the flexibility to work additional hours should cover be required.
