SalaryWe are looking to onboard a 3rd Line Engineer to join a Defence organisation to manage several Windows Server Environments and oversee the management and distribution of patches & software updates across multiple platforms.
Rate:£300-400 per day (Outside IR35)
WorkingPattern: 3-5 days onsite (Wiltshire area)
Contract:3-6 months initially

Responsibilities:
- Expert management of Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and failover clustering.
- Oversee the distribution and management of patches and software updates across multiple platforms.
- Utilise advanced monitoring tools to proactively manage and troubleshoot IT infrastructure.
- Lead software license audits and compliance management to optimise license usage and reduce costs.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for Windows-based systems.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Deep expertise in Windows Server administration and patch management.
- Proficiency in software asset management and license compliance.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting systems for IT infrastructure management.
- Strong project management, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft MCSE or ITIL Expert.
- A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.
