You will be joining a large and reputable organisation in Bristol that provides a range of services to the public sector. The organisation is going through a period of change and transformation, and is looking for a billing manager to join their finance team.
Your new role
As a billing manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the billing process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. You will also manage a team of billing specialists, providing them with guidance, training, and support. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, such as customers, suppliers, auditors, and regulators, to resolve any billing issues or queries. You will also contribute to the improvement and development of the billing system and processes, identifying and implementing best practices and efficiencies.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need to have previous experience as a billing manager or a similar role, preferably in a large and complex organisation. You will need to have strong knowledge of billing principles, practices, and regulations, as well as excellent numerical and analytical skills. You will need to have strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. You will also need to have proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
