Roles within the nursery are:

Qualified practitioners (Level 2 & 3):

You will join us as a Nursery Practitioner (qualified) on a full-time basis (40 hours a week) and will work a variety of shifts between the hours of 07:30-18:30, Monday-Friday, all-year-round. 

We are offering an annual salary of £24,710.40-£30,867.20 per annum, pro rata.  On an hourly rate this equates to:

  • £14.31-£14.84 if you’re qualified to level 6 or above.
  • £13.50-£14.84 if you’re qualified to level 3, 4 or 5.
  • £11.88 if you're qualified to level 2.

Childcare Apprenticeships:

We are seeking a very special person to join us in this role.  Someone who:

  • Is naturally nurturing, caring and compassionate to others.
  • Has an interest in child development and how children learn.
  • Can be a positive role model to the children in their care.
  • Enjoys contributing within a team environment. 

This Early Years apprenticeship will commence in July 2024 and will teach you how to provide outstanding care and education to young children.  Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Work as part of a team to create and maintain safe and supportive learning environments across the nursery, plan and implement opportunities to enhance children’s development, and complete observations linked to the Early Years curriculum.
  • Interact positively with all nursery users and work in partnership with colleagues and parents to ensure all children’s individual needs are met at all times whilst they are in your care.
  • Adhere to nursery routines and policies and to seek guidance from your leadership team as required.
  • Successfully manage your time to ensure you submit your coursework by the deadlines set by your trainer/assessor.

Nursery Cook / Chef:

You will join us as the Nursery Cook/Chef on a full-time basis (37.5 hours a week) and will work a variety of shifts between the hours of 09:00-18:00, Monday-Friday, all-year-round. 

We are seeking a very special person to join us in this catering role.  Someone who:

  • Has experience of preparing and cooking raw-ingredients in-line with a set menu, to produce a range of different meals that cater for varied dietary requirements, in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Is able to accurately record temperature checks, produce essential reports on allergy management and food wastage, and will work in conjunction with the central health, safety and environment support team as required.
  • Can effectively line-manage a kitchen assistant to ensure that a clean, safe and tidy 5-star kitchen is maintained, ensuring appropriate COSHH and allergy management protocols are implemented at all times.
  • Can manage a budget, champions healthy eating and enjoys working in a busy, team-orientated environment.

Relief Nursery Practitioner:

As a Relief Nursery Practitioner you will play an important role in contributing towards the on-going success of our company.  You will provide relief cover for team holiday, training and other staff leave, and you will work with all age groups (0-5 years) across the nursery.  Some shifts will be offered to you in advance and others will become available at short notice.  The flexible nature of this 0-hour role means, if you are offered a relief shift on a day when you have other commitments, you can simply decline the shift. 

As relief cover requirements for the nursery change from week-to-week, we are seeking new relief team members who can work varied shifts between the hours of 07:30am-18:30pm, on at least two days each week ideally. 

We are seeking a very special person to join us in this role.  Someone who:

  • Is naturally nurturing, caring and compassionate to others.
  • Has some experience of caring for children under five, ideally in a nursery environment, and has an interest in child development and how children learn; you may currently be undertaking an Early Years or teaching qualification at college or university.
  • Can be a positive role model to the children in their care.
  • Enjoys contributing within a busy, team environment. 

We are offering an hourly pay rate of:

  • £11.88-£13.15 if you’re qualified to level 3 or above.
  • £11.83 if you’re qualified to level 2.
  • £11.77 if you’re not Early Years qualified.
