Early Years Educator Room Leader (Baby Room & Toddler Room)

Seahorse Nursery is a family-run group of nurseries in Southfields and Wimbledon Park (SW19, famous for tennis). We are looking for an experienced and qualified Nursery Practitioner. We welcome applications from those with relevant experience as Early Years Teachers, Early Years Educators and Nursery Nurses. Pay scales are higher for those with Early Years Teacher Status.

- Pay: from £12.40-£13.20 for L3 qualified, £12.90-13.40 for L6 qualified and £13.40-£13.70 for QTS per hour, (based on qualification and experience)

Day to day
- To implement our Seahorse curriculum and learning through play ethos.
- Safeguard the children: safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility
- To be flexible within working practices of the nursery. Be prepared to help where needed, including working across rooms and Seahorse locations and undertaking certain domestic jobs within the nursery, e.g. preparation of snack meals, laundry, cleaning of equipment etc
- To contribute to and implement weekly planning of activities as per termly thematic planning.
- To uphold all Nursery policies and procedures including your duty to safeguard children and maintain a clean and healthy environment in line with Food Standards and Health and Safety.
- To demonstrate professionalism and teamwork to support other team members throughout the nursery.
- Contribute to planning and evaluation of activities
- Develop strong partnerships with parents/carers
- Provide an inclusive environment for colleagues, children and visitors
Requirements:
- Qualified Nursery Practitioner (L3/L6, QTS, EYTS)
- Looking for a meaningful job and passionate about child education
- Positive attitude
- Available to work all year round
- Suitable references and DBS checks
