As an Early Years teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality and engaging lessons that cover all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. You will also be expected to assess and monitor pupil progress, provide feedback and report to parents and carers. You will work closely with other teachers and support staff to ensure a smooth transition from nursery to reception and from EYFS to Key Stage 1.
As an EYFS Teacher, you will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum objectives
- Assessing and monitoring pupils' progress and providing constructive feedback and targets
- Creating a safe and stimulating learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity and independence
- Working collaboratively with other teachers and staff and participating in professional development opportunities
- Contributing to the wider life of the school and the local community, and promoting our values of respect, responsibility and resilience
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
- Experience of teaching in EYFS, preferably in Reception
- A high level of subject knowledge and pedagogical skills
- A commitment to inclusive and child-centred education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive and proactive attitude
