The Directors are seeking to appoint an Early Years Teaching Assistant who is keen to join our fantastic, thriving school.
St. Benedict Biscop was inspected in March 2023, securing an overall Good judgement with Outstanding Early Years, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development and Leadership and Management. We are now looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years Team, to continue our successful journey. The school is part of St. Bartholomew’s Multi-Academy Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our friendly and supportive team.
We are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work within our Early Years Team. Experience of working in Early Years across both Nursery and Reception would be an advantage. Our foundation stage is the beginning of our children’s journey at our school. As a member of the EYFS team, you support our whole school ethos to provide the best opportunities for the children in our care.
We are looking for a child centred, motivated and enthusiastic individual, who will support the Christian Ethos of our school. Working alongside the class teachers to support children to achieve their full potential. Working as part of a team but also independently to meet the needs of individual children.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the class teacher within lessons
- Supervising individual or groups of children at during independent learning interacting positively and supporting play
- Delivering interventions for individual and groups of children
- Under the direction of the class teacher supporting specific lessons.
You will enjoy working in a team, have a caring approach and a positive attitude. You will be confident to follow school procedures and demonstrate a commitment to keeping children safe.
